Cell Funds Buyback Program is based on the simple premise that recycling should be rewarded.

Cell Funds pays the maximum recovery payout for your handsets. We absolutely want to encourage you to do it again! Every unused handset should be recycled.

Recycling is the only safe alternative for the toxic substances used in their construction.

How do you turn a cell phone into cash?
For you, we have made it easy. Simply sell your old, unused handset to Cell Funds.

Cell Funds…

  1. Sorts the submitted handsets.
  2. Refurbishes and repairs usable handsets for resale in secondary markets.
  3. Breaks down damaged (unusable) cell phones into recyclable components:
    1. Metal parts are melted down to recover the base metals.
    2. Plastics are separated and recycled.
    3. Batteries are sent to a licensed recovery facility that cleanly recovers the materials.
  4. All recovered materials are sold to the appropriate markets for reuse.

This sale allows Cell Funds to… Pay you for recycling!

Cell Funds makes it fast, easy and profitable to keep our air, water and soil clean for the next generation.

Recovery Payout

The value of used handsets varies widely based on make, model, condition and market demand. Therefore, Cell Funds quotes the range of pricing available for each model.

For example:

SAMPLE FAIR GOOD LIKE NEW
My Model PDA $20 $30 $45
My Model Handset $5 $10 $15

CONDITIONS: LIKE NEW ⇒ Perfect condition
GOOD ⇒ Minor scratches
FAIR ⇒ Some wear on casing

Cell Funds will determine the final condition and valuation of your handset when we receive and sort your shipment.

Phones with unacceptable damage or operational faults do not qualify for payout. Examples of unacceptable damage would be cracked screens, water damage, crushing of the case, missing battery or parts, etc. However, even if your phone has been run over by a truck — send it in to be safely recycled.

Handsets that have no buyback / resale / salvage value will be disposed of in an environmentally safe method by Cell Funds. In this case, the value of the recycled materials pays for the recycling and no payout is possible.
